The outer casing is soft but also firm so it is quite comfortable, and along with the provided strap I’d say it makes the whole thing way easier to stay in place. In terms of how easy it is to clean, I believe all it needs is a quick rinse just like any other, the TPE material doesn’t affect the ease of cleaning significantly.
