After following all the directions I'd read online and trying to figure out why I couldn't come up with a size much under 3" for the diameter I decided to just go for it. The first try was a failure as even the largest ring was nearly impossible to get seated comfortably. This one, however, was much easier with the clasping ring. Yeah, some growing pains with the pinching, but a touch of lubricant took care of that and it wears well with just enough room to breathe while still being constricting.
Overall, a great first buy!
