I assume that the "drive train" is made of durable materials. *surprisingly easy to clean. Yes, you can't turn the sleeve inside out. I just turned the top to unlock and pull from the magnet on the base of the sleeve. Fill the sleeve with soap and water and scrub with my fingers. 5 minutes at best. You can also leave the sleeve in the unit and clean with the supplied wand with extra cleaning "brushes". *Extra sleeve is included with a different interior surface. I can't attest to the durability; nor the customer service yet, but I appreciate their efforts to reassure me. Very impressed with this company.
